Marni Enns, soprano, has made her mark on Winnipeg's music scene since winning the Rose Bowl in 2000. She has appeared with the WSO on several occasions singing Haydn's Creation and Handel's Messiah. Marni is a member of the Winnipeg Singers and Canzona and is Associate Paster of Worship at Elmwood Mennonite Brethren Church.
Kris Kornelsen, baritone, is no stranger to music scene in Winnipeg. He has appeared as soloist with The Winnipeg Singers, The Mennonite Oratorio Choir, The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Nova and Canzona and is known for his musicianship and ability to actively communicate with his audiences.
Doug Pankratz, tenor, has been active in the Winnipeg choral scene for many years. he has been a long-standing member of Canzona and the Winnipeg Singers. Doug has performed with the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, the Mennonite Festival Chorus, Camerata Nova and the Manitoba Opera Chorus.
Kirsten Schellenberg, mezzo, has been a featured soloist with the Winniepg Symphony Orchestra many times performing Bach's Mass in B minor, Mozart's Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Beethoven's 9th Symphony. She has appeared with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, The Winnipeg Singers, the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir, and the Musikbarock Ensemble. She presently sings as a chorister and soloist with Canzona.
In June, 2005, Marni, Kirsten, Doug and Kris were preparing to go on a tour of Taiwan and Japan with the Winnipeg Singers and decided to give a one-time fundraising concert as the Korpankennsberg Quartet. The four friends had so much fun singing together that they decided to continue. Since then, the quartet, now named Encore, has given many performances in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. They sing all types of music and have received high acclaim for their relaxed, easy performance style and their impeccable tuning and musicianship. Encore enjoys guest appearances with other arts organizations and performs at corporate and private parties, fundraisers and house concerts. Their vast repertoire includes favorites such as the King's Singers and the Beatles. They also enjoy singing gospel tunes, pop, vocal jazz, and classical.
